Sharon P. Wagner is a doctoral student in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications at Texas A&M University. Her research interests focus on the impact of social influence on consumer perceptions of food. She uses a multidisciplinary approach to examine the intersectionality of agriculture, health, nutrition, and sustainability. Combining the strengths of strategic communications, social psychology, and learning theory, she studies which methods, models, and programs are most effective in informing public opinion of agriculture and life sciences. Her research also examines the impact of word choice in translational research to help other scholars communicate their science to the public.
